We are very happy to announce a continuation with Motorsport Hardware and their new branch of business, Motorsport Fluids for all of our racing fluid needs. Thank you Ryan and Cecil, we are looking forward to helping your business grow and appreciate your continued support.
Doug Berger of DBPics.com always impresses and continues to win my business race after race. His skill and professionalism is very appreciated and we want to sincerely thank Doug for continuing to photograph Motorsports in the Pacific Northwest.
We also need to officially announce Purfect Logos as our official Graphics, Clothing and Vinyl Supplier. Time and time again Purfect Logos goes above and beyond to ensure we get our vinyl always on time no matter how late we send our orders in. We are also pleased to announce our Driver Lineup for the 2+8 Hour Portland International Raceway Enduro on October 17th, finally! Along with James Haile and Brian Bogdon, Anthony Kalcounis is coming back to race with us after doing so in 2013 in our M5, current ICSCC Sport Touring Champion Curt Wikstrom and Next Level Automotive owner and racer Gareth Campbell will round out the lineup of drivers. Thank you all for joining our program, looking forward to winning Brian the Enduro Championship and having an excellent time with our racing buddies one more time in 2015. See you all on the 16th and 17th.
The Absent Speed M3 has been born. We are very excited to finally announce a new partnership with Absent Speed Factory for 2016-2018. We will be able to field two nearly identical BMW E36 race cars year round while minimizing our travel costs to Seattle and Portland. This will allow us to compete in more race weekends with ICSCC and SCCA and give us options with renting to paying drivers.
ASF will finish the build, store/maintain the car and transport it to and from the track and eventually Brendan wants to work towards an ICSCC License and share the seat with James and other drivers.
All that said we do have some updates to the Purple Squirrel. Brendan came over from Seattle and helped get the car to a rolling state. The car currently awaits transportation to the west side of the state and the Absent Speed Factory shop where it will go through an extensive build to get the car ready to race in 2016.
We took a road trip to Leavenworth, WA with Northwest BMW Club and had a fantastic time cruising with the local enthusiasts. After grabbing coffee we continued on Highway 2 to Auburn, WA to visit our 2015 Wheel Sponsor, Gareth and Next Level Automotive where we picked up two sets of VMR V701s. We are extremely happy with the build quality and the finish on these wheels and cannot wait to get them mounted under Hard Motorsport fender flares in the next 14 days. Thank you Gareth and Next Level Automotive.
Ian at NW Autoworks is nearly finished prepping the engine, just waiting on parts to do a rebuild on our VANOS unit and James cleaned up the ZF gearbox and picked up $175 worth of clear non-ethanol 92 octane gas in preparation for The Ridge 6 Hour Enduro. It’s getting down to crunch time to get the car running and on the track on the 28th of this month at ORP but I’m confident we can make it.
We are happy to announce that NW Autoworks will be back as our Race Builder and Sponsor for 2015. Jared and Ian have been instrumental in rebuilding and keeping our cars running for the last couple of seasons and we are grateful that they will be back with us at the track and maintaining our cars. It’s great peace of mind knowing someone is taking the time and care with our race cars to ensure we don’t have anything fail at the track even if that means using thread-locker on every nut and bolt and double and triple checking every clamp and line. You guys get it done, thank you both!
NW Autoworks, located in the Spokane Valley, is happy to take on most makes and models specializing in brakes, suspension, chassis and bushing replacement, engine maintenance and swaps, general automotive customization and maintenance. Please call Jared at 509-251-5850 to schedule an appointment and be sure to follow them on Facebook to see what they’re working on.
